This website will focus on one of the many Englishes around the world, particularly Konglish. Konglish, or Korean-filtered English, is quite common within the Korean context and is important to know if you or someone you know are planning to travel to South Korea in the near future. The significance of learning Konglish is, of course, for communicative purposes with Koreans but also as a means of learning more about Korean culture and world Englishes language varieties.

 

Although this website grants anyone the opportunity to learn about a different English language variety, its objectives are to be a resource for educators who are seeking ways to teach English varieties in their classroom and are unsure of where to start.
